Sponsoring a new UAV Lab in LUFTA
After a lot of patience and persistence, here it is! This beautiful Malay kampung house is being restored at LUFTA to be the new UAV Lab for students, staff and clients of UPM. This 'cottage' was badly abandoned not long ago. There is a lot you can do with a lawn mower and a chain saw these days :D. Using these simple machines I removed the tall grass and some trees and to my pleasant surprise, emerged this beautiful gem literally tucked away almost un-noticed from everyone. I have sponsored RM50,000.00 (USD12,000.00) for the complete restoration of this marvelous house. And another RM100,000.00 (USD24,000.00) to equip the house with the necessary tools to turn it into a full-fledged UAV Laboratory. I am excited that students, staff and our important clients can spend more time in LUFTA and focus on their UAV projects closer to the runway and hence, making life easy for everyone.
